Birthday Bash with Music by Lou
April's birthday party will be held on Friday, April 4 at 2:00 p.m. Lou Gambor, of our "Car Cruise Crew", will provide entertainment on his accordion. Lou has the gift of "playing by ear", so bring requests!

Presentation on Slovakia
Dr. David Dayton and Mrs. Anne Dayton will visit Grace Manor to speak about The Slovak Republic on Tuesday, April 8th at 2:00 p.m. The couple spent time in Slovakia in 2000 when Mrs. Dayton taught at the University of Presov. Upon returning to the United States, and hoping to help support the country's endeavor to maintain a free market economy after communist rule, they started Slovak Folk Crafts Shoppe in Grove City, importing items made by Slovakian artisans. Their shop houses what is believed to be the largest animated woodcarving in the United States, commissioned by the Daytons and carved by Slovakian master carvers. Residents will have an opportunity to view a video about the wood carving prior to the Daytons' presentation.

Jazzy Joe
Joe Lege is a familiar name to Grace Manor residents. He has spent many hours tickling the ivories and us with his toe tapping tunes. He will perform for us on April 10 at 2 p.m.

Ragtime with Ray
Ray Ryan loves ragtime music. He'll jam on the piano on Monday, April 14th at 2 p.m.

Ladies Tea
Girl Scout Troop 55090 will sponsor our Spring Tea on Thursday, April 17 at 2:00 p.m., modeling some of their favorite spring fashions.

Men's Luncheon
The men's luncheon will be held on Saturday, April 19 at 11:30 a.m. Our guest will be Aaron Metz, who will share his interest in collecting memorabilia from the first and second world wars.

Spring Spa Day
Nothing relieves tension like a massage. Therapeutic shoulder and hand massages will be offered on Monday, April 21st from 12:45-2:00 p.m.

Music with Just for Fun
Gerard Conroy and Don Carnahan will provide songs from the 60's and 70's, as well as some Irish tunes on Tuesday, April 22 at 6:00 p.m.

"Take 2"
Take 2, a duo featuring North Allegheny students Samantha Lucas and Olivia Gill, will feature songs from musicals on Saturday, April 26th at 2 p.m. Our regular Saturday Bingo will follow their performance.

Flea Market
Monday, April 28 is the date of our monthly flea market.

The Power of Flowers
An internet search on the benefits of flowers brings up studies showing what we know intuitively0positive moods increase and we feel better when we are surrounded by them. Mark Zolkowski, owner of Z Florist will provide a floral demonstration to residents on Tuesday, April 29th, at 2:00 p.m. Mark's design styles range from the English Garden to more compact contemporary arrangements.
